2024 Group Classes Policy

Code of Conduct:

Parents are welcome to sit in during group classes in the seating area set aside for parents. Or, parents are welcome to wait elsewhere on the premises. Parents are expected to remain quiet during class time and to not be disruptive to the class. From time to time, instructors may invite parents to participate in some manner, otherwise it is important that parents do not take part in the classes.

Students are expected to:

  • be on time for class and dress in appropriate attire

  • be attentive and respectful toward the instructor and other students

  • clean up any items used or brought for classes (no food allowed in class)

  • care for any rental instruments, returning them at the end of the session in reasonable shape

If a student is disruptive during a class, the instructor will communicate this to the parent and attempt to resolve. If a student is deemed repeatedly disruptive by the instructor, the student may be removed from the entire group class session (any prorated refund in this case will be determined by Music Flow)

Attendance:

There are no make-up lessons or classes available for our group class program. There are no credits issued if a student cannot attend any lesson weeks.

Illness: Parents should not bring the student to class in the case of illness (visibly showing symptoms of illness). If a student is deemed to be visibly ill during class by the instructor, the instructor has the right to remove the student from class.

Instructor-cancellations: If an instructor cannot attend a particular class for any reason, Music Flow will likely place a substitute instructor in place, and communicate this to parents. If there are no available instructors for a lesson day, Music Flow will issue a prorated credit to the students in this case.

Cancellation Policy:

Full refund of session total will be provided if cancellation notice is provided by 7 days prior to class session start date.

75% refund of session total will be provided if cancellation notice is provided within 3 days after class session start date.

50% refund of session total will be provided if cancellation notice is provided within 2 weeks after class session start date.
